An exhibition made of painted clouds: larg-sized or small-zoomed, on canvas or on old printing plates; nothing more and nothing less than skies.
For Sommer, it is not about romanticism or nature studies. The painter invents/fabricates his clouds. They are abstract compositions of light and shadows. The motif develops on the canvas, nearly illustrative, like a simplified and naive stage setting; facile and unpretentious, yet as thrilling as clouds can be.
