In Echoes of Form, form is not presented as a finished entity, but as a continuous process of becoming. Wanda Stolle works with ink drawings and wooden wall pieces, where lines, surfaces, and shapes gradually emerge through scratching, scraping, sanding, and layering. Her works balance density and lightness with a strong sense of spatial presence, creating quietly poetic compositions that invite reflection. Helen Hu, in contrast, approaches painting as a bodily experience: color and gesture flow from movement, overlap, seek new equilibrium, and transform the canvas into a vibrant space of rhythm and energy.
Both artists share a keen sensitivity to transitions—between surface and space, order and chance, control and surrender. While Stolle condenses form into a silent, contemplative entity, Hu unfolds it into a dynamic interplay of movement and color. Together, their works explore the tension between body and matter, intuition and construction, producing an echo of form that lingers—subtle, profound, and layered.
